WHAT WE DO

THE PROBLEM

  • We think the traditional business model of investment advice offers poor value for money and is prone to both perverse incentives and conflicts of interest
  • Total portfolio management expenses are often higher than investors realise and can be a serious drag on investment performance over the long term
  • We believe that our clients should receive high-quality, impartial advice from a trusted source in return for fees that are determined by the nature of the advice rather than the value of their assets

OUR ANALYSIS

We will analyse the performance, risk and expenses of your existing portfolios

  • We will assess the performance of the portfolio, the asset allocation and the fees (some of which are not always clear)
  • Have the assets performed as intended?
  • Is the investment strategy appropriate?
  • Is the asset allocation optimal?
  • Are the fees reasonable?

OUR SERVICES

How we work with you:

  • We work with you as a trusted advisor, but you remain in full control of your assets
  • We help you to understand your investment objectives more clearly
  • We recommend changes to your asset allocation to meet those
investment objectives, taking account of your risk appetite and return targets
  • We aim to reduce the cost of investing by favouring low-cost investment
    products…
  • …so that you keep a greater proportion of your returns (which amplifies the all-important power of compounding)
  • We provide you with a single picture of all your investment portfolios
  • We help you to understand the regular performance

OUR CHARGES

How we charge:

  • We levy a fixed annual fee – and no ad valorem fees, regardless of the value of your assets
  • We will agree in advance any fees for additional work
  • The way we charge is unusual within the industry, but is both fairer and better value for money
  • We never accept fees or remuneration from anyone other than our clients – we are wholly independent
